My favorite athlete
Born in Mogi das Cruzes, Bazil, Neymar began his youth ca-
reer at Portuguesa Santista before moving to Santos’ youth
set-up in 2003. He broke into the Santos first team in 2009
and subsequently earned a transfer to FC Barcelona in 2013.
In 2017, Neymar left FC Barcelona to sign to French club Par-
is Saint-Germain and he helped them to win the Ligue 1 title
in his first campaign in Paris.
Neymar made his senior international debut for Brazil back
in 2010 and has made more than 100 appearances in various
competitions.
The Brazilian football player won an Olympic Gold medal playing for his national team at the
2016 Summer Olympics.
Naymar’s best friends are Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez.
